However, as far as I remember, Asus teamed up with Corsair and they now seem to partially support Asus Aura Sync via Corsair iCUE, so you could try and install Corsair iCUE and then hook up Wallpaper Engine through that. I don't know if that will work though, we don't have any Asus Aura hardware at hand. Last edited by Tim ; Oct 8, 2020 @ 4:35am.

There are two different and incompatible systems common for RGB lighting control on mobo headers - plain RGB, and Addressable RGB. BOTH can be done using Aura Sync software on an ASUS mobo. Which type you CAN use depedns on which type of header you mobo has. The plain RGB uses a 4-pin header. Does Aura Sync work with everything. Aura Sync is an innovative technology developed by ASUS to synchronize the lighting effects of compatible components, including motherboards, graphics cards, monitors and peripherals. The purpose of this technology is to give gamers and enthusiasts a more immersive and cohesive experience when gaming.
What aura sync components do you have? The motherboard RGB headers is just to sync multiple argb devices like fans and LED strips or an aio. Otherwise most devices have alternative connection types like a little hub that connects to a USB header so it's still powered and controlled by software. 1.
Users can also create a completely synchronised system by connecting the controller to the 3-PIN 5V ARGB header on the motherboard, then pressing the M1 button for 3 seconds to control the lighting effects via the motherboard software. After a year later, this information saved me! Awesome, thanks for posting mate.

Well, to put it simply, we use the ASUS Aura SDK to talk to the onboard lighting controller on ASUS Aura Ready motherboards. A plugin is used for maintenance reasons as we aim to keep compatibility with 8LtA2fV.
